AS SEEN IN AFAR MAGAZINE: 25 PLACES TO TRAVEL IN 2025

Afar Magazine has published their annual list of recommended destinations and we’re thrilled to see both Benin and Wademba Travel included!

While Afar publishes a list every year, this year they’ve dedicated their list to lesser-visited and perhaps surprising destinations. With overtourism creating negative impacts in some regions and cities around the world, travelers are being increasingly discouraged from traveling to destinations struggling with overtourism.

Meanwhile, there are other destinations—like Benin—that are actively investing in their touristic infrastructure, hoping to increase tourism and economic prosperity for their citizens. Afar’s 2025 list highlights Benin and other destinations that are eagerly welcoming visitors. Even the president of Benin, Patrice Talon, mentioned Benin’s inclusion in this list during his state of the union address in December, which just shows how excited everyone in Benin is to welcome travelers.
